Go-Ride Coaching for U16’s

 

 BBM Revolution CC are proud to be a ‘Go-Ride’ club offering coaching to young people in the community as part of our ‘Cycling For All’ initiative. All our coaching team are endorsed by British Cycling, are CRB checked and fully qualified in first aid.

With support from fantastic community partners we offer structured one hour sessions designed to teach kids how to build on their cycling skills, all done within a safe, friendly environment…..with the emphasis on FUN FUN FUN!!

Sessions are run at the BKCAT (Bishop Konstance Catholic Academy Trust) Circuit, Sandal, Wakefield every Monday evening (except on bank holidays) from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. The cost is £2.50 per session with a cap of £5.00 per family. The track is a purpose built facility to British Cycling standards and can be used all year round as it is floodlit through the winter months.

What is Go Ride?

British Cycling – is the internationally recognised governing body for cycling in the UK. The organisation covers all of the 6 cycling disciplines, including BMX,

Cycle Speedway, Cyclo-Cross, Mountain Biking, Road and Track.

Go-Ride – is British Cycling’s development programme for young people. The programme provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and provides a platform to improve bike handling skills. Young people will be able to sample the various cycle sport disciplines and start enjoying one of the fastest growing sports in the UK today. For those who are already involved and want to move forwards, Go-Ride has it covered with the new Go-Ride Racing competition programme.

Go-Ride Racing – is British Cycling’s exciting competition programme which helps young riders make the transition from school or club coaching sessions to inter club and open regional competition. Go-Ride Racing events offer entry level, local competition for young cyclists under the age of 16. British Cycling Racing Licences are NOT required and the events are aimed at novice racing cyclists.
